You are a security professional

You are a professional in the public sector-a law enforcement officer or a member of the military-or even working for a private security concern. You serve the public interest by aiding people in distress: you are a firefighter or health care provider in contact with the public.

The discipline of Operational and Professional Krav (O.P.K.) will meet your expectations by honing your professional abilities, whether you work in the fields of law enforcement, defense, or security and are looking for supplementary training in self-defense and stress management or whether you work in the service sector providing health care or social services to the public.

With its essentially operational focus, the pedagogy of O.P.K. can deliver the rudiments of self-defense and close combat to even the youngest and most inexperienced law enforcement, defense, and security professionals.

The most elementary teachings of O.P.K. contain operational content that develops toughness and performance under stress in an operational context. One's own survival as well as the safety of the group depends on your aptitude for reacting at the moment of physical confrontation. Realistic training and the resulting self-mastery can alone guarantee constant observance of a professional ethic in dealing with the public

The method and the body of teachings of O.P.K. address:

  • Members of elite units of the armed forces and federal agencies anxious to hone their professional skill who are looking for a complete, polyvalent discipline that also reflects the complexity of real situations in its training.
  • Personnel from the departments that prepare competitions or admissions tests for elite unites or specialized groups within government agencies, so that they may develop the general qualities that correspond to the training and missions of these units and groups.
  • Private security personnel who will acquire through the teaching of O.P.K. a set of techniques that allows them to rise to a new level or acquire specific skills, in particular for providing personal protection (bodyguard) services.

The self-defense content of O.P.K., more specifically, its emphasis on performance under stress and self-mastery, responds to the difficult contemporary conditions in which health care and social service providers find themselves working.

First responders, such as firefighters, paramedics, and EMTs, as well as emergency room doctors and nurses, and other medical personnel in vulnerable clinics, offices, hospitals, and psychiatric institutions, public and private. The dedication of these people no longer suffices to guarantee either the respect that is their due or their physical safety, even during the ordinary exercise of their profession.

The self-defense techniques of O.P.K. permit them to protect themselves against incivility that degenerates into physical aggression or to escape the lethal violence of a psychologically "unstable person". The mental preparation of O.P.K. aims to develop the resilience of practitioners by systematically emphasizing performance under stress.
